  My husband and I have never experienced worst sushi restaurant ever, anywhere. The place was depressing and dark, the four bulbs in each of the ceiling lamps were reduced to one functioning. Never in Canada we've been served by 8 or nine years old girl. Are we living in third world country? Child labour. Anybody reported this? Both, the girl and her mother were very untidy, the mother in her sweat pants and dirty. She is the only person working there as a chef. Because of that, the service was very slow. The food was poorly presented. Our California rolls, poorly assembled, came with TWO, 2x2cm pieces of ginger and the wasabi in size of the kidney bean. Second plate with mango California rolls came free of it completely. Those rolls were absolutely disgusting with small sloppy blob of mango puree on top. We had to wave down the small girl to bring us two plates, which her mother yelled at her for. Miso soup was absolutely unacceptable. No taste, no typical colour, no texture, looking like a brown water. In my bowl were flouting three pieces of a green onion and two tiny cubes of tofu, in my husband's bowl nothing. We are very disappointed, never going back again.

  I have been a regular customer of Sho Chiku for a long time and used to enjoy their food. This place used to be run by very nice Korean people that made good food. I had a horrible experience there recently when I ordered take out. When I arrived to the restaurant it was dirty, disorganized and the staff was all new which concerned me but I made the mistake of still picking up my food. There was a young girl there who took my order, about 9 years old, whom I had never seen before. When I brought it home, the food was poorly presented, looked old like it had been made days earlier, smelled badly of old fish and was very skimpy compared to my previous orders. I had one bite of a roll and had to spit it out it was so disgusting. I have never eaten more disgusting sushi in my life. It was so bad I decided to return it which I have also never done before. When I got there the new woman denied that there were new owners and argued with me about the quality and cleanliness and refused to give me my money back because ONE piece of a roll out of my $60.00 order was eaten. Finally she agreed to give me back $40.00 and charge me $20 for the single piece of the roll, terrible customer service. This place has been completely ruined by new Chinese owners and I will NEVER go back there. DO NOT go to this place it is foul!!!
